JeJun Moon

Je Moon represents large and closely held corporations, financial institutions, and individual clients on a diverse range of matters involving commercial disputes. He has successfully represented clients in corporate governance matters involving breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims, disputes between shareholders and members of limited liability companies, federal and state securities laws, and employment disputes. He also counsels clients on corporate formation and formality, as well as employment and executive compensation matters.

His clients have included multinational corporations, international financial institutions, investment managers, a major North American sports league, a franchise owner of a major North American sports league, financial services professionals, corporate executives, and individual business and property owners.

With nearly twenty-five years of experience practicing before federal and state courts, alternative dispute resolution forums, and various governmental and regulatory agencies, including the United States Securities Exchange Commission and FINRA, Mr. Moon has the toughness, skill, and experience that you and your matter require. Moreover, his background working with large and mid-size firms uniquely positions him to provide the responsive and efficient service that his clients desire in order to obtain the best possible outcomes.

Mr. Moon started his career at Proskauer Rose, LLP, followed by a clerkship with the Honorable Richard Conway Casey of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York. Afterwards, he worked at Seward & Kissel LLP and Cullen & Dykman LLP before opening his own practice. Mr. Moon is a member of both the New York State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar. He received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1998, where he was an editor of the International Law Journal, and his undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard College in 1993.

Jennifer Kotlyarsky

For over 23 years, Jennifer Kotlyarsky has handled policyholder coverage litigation through final disposition in first-party litigation involving large property and casualty losses. She has successfully prosecuted and defended business claims involving breaches of contract, construction defects, and tortious interference.

As Coverage Counsel for AmTrust North America and Tower Group Companies for nearly a decade, she prosecuted and defended first- and third-party coverage actions to final disposition, including trial and appeal, on issues including triggering of coverage, risk transfer, ISO and manuscript exclusions, estoppel and waiver, standing, timeliness of notice and disclaimers, cancellation, and misrepresentation.

Ms. Kotlyarsky is intimately familiar with insurance companies and their litigation strategies, as she has collaborated closely with claims and underwriting personnel in developing a uniform case strategy to successfully leverage coverage and defense positions to minimize potential exposure. Additionally, she has provided guidance to the claims and underwriting departments on coverage issues. Ms. Kotlyarsky has prevailed at the state and appellate levels on motions defining the interpretation of contractual terms and classification endorsements in CGL policies.

As senior trial counsel for Geico (a national insurer) for over five years, Ms. Kotlyarsky has obtained numerous defense verdicts in Bergen and Hudson counties in general liability matters. In so doing, she developed and implemented an initial case strategy to efficiently minimize incurred legal costs. She has appeared before numerous state courts for conferences, mediation, arbitration, motion practice, and trials.

Ms. Kotlyarsky is a member of both the New York State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar. She received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1999 and her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from New York University in 1995.
